Cathy’s House

515 West Liberty Street, Medina, OH, 44256
Overview

Cathy’s House is a sober living home founded in 1998 by husband and wife Randy and Chris Jarrell. This is not a treatment facility, but a ¾ house run by non-professionals. Cathy’s House doesn’t provide treatment services that are offered by some recovery centers for alcohol and drug addiction. The main purpose of this house is to help recovered drug addicts and alcoholics improve their recovery and get on the path to sobriety. For many persons with substance abuse problems a treatment in inpatient or outpatient setting isn’t enough, they need strong support once their program is over. That’s exactly what Cathy’s House offers to men and women who become their clients.

Types Of Treatment Provided

Due to the fact that Cathy’s House is not a treatment facility it doesn’t provide some addiction treatment services that are found elsewhere. This is a sober living facility where clients are still able to receive support and guidance to a healthier way of life. The admission policy dictates that clients must be at least three days sober before they enter Cathy’s House. They also need approval from the director. The second admission requires three days sobriety, 30 days from the date of the previous departure, and director approval. Clients need to meet different criteria for successful admission. For example, they must not be classified as a sexual or violent offender, must be willing to sign a release for a criminal background check, must actively participate in the AA program, must be at least 18 years old. Within three days of admittance, clients need to find a sponsor and attend 12-step meetings onsite. Basically, the purpose of all this is to show that you are actively working on your recovery. Clients have to wake up and complete some chores by 8 am. Abusive behavior is not tolerated just like any kind of sexual activity. Each resident is responsible for cleaning up after themselves, and they also need to keep their bedrooms clean. Of course, employed residents are allowed to go to work. On the other hand, if you’re unemployed, it is your responsibility to look for a job every day.

Methods of Addiction Treatment

Men and women who stay at Cathy’s House have probably completed an inpatient or outpatient addiction treatment program elsewhere. That program featured various therapies. In Cathy’s House residents are required to attend AA/NA meetings regularly, but there are no individual or group therapy sessions. Again, as you can already imagine this is due to the fact Cathy’s House is not a treatment center.

Amenities

The primary advantage of Cathy’s House is a simple regimen that doesn’t put a lot of stress on men and women who live there. Residents are allowed to go to work, cook, clean, do chores they would normally do in their own homes. Regular meetings allow residents to stay on a good path toward sobriety. What makes this place practical is that it provides a strong and secure foundation for a healthy life.

Payment Type Accepted

This sober living facility doesn’t turn people away solely for the inability to pay. Men and women of lower socioeconomic status can still benefit from staying at Cathy’s House as they’ll work out different solutions to allow you to get support for your recovery and find the best solution to pay for the time spent there. Methods of payment accepted by Cathy’s House include private pay, grant funded/rent subsidy. Of course, to get more information about payment options especially if you’re on a tight budget, all you need to do is to contact Cathy’s House, and they’ll explain everything you need to know.

Staff

Bearing in mind that Cathy’s House is not a typical treatment center, it’s more of a place where people get extra support for their recovery; there are no staff members in a manner like they are elsewhere. Names and biographies of people who help run Cathy’s House aren’t revealed. That being said, it’s still clear that Cathy’s House is a supportive, warm, and calm place where residents get much-needed support. All those benefits are a result of hard work of founders and their team to develop a place where men and women who are battling addiction problems will be able to support their road to sobriety in a healthy manner.

These are relatively common problems faced by the local population and, thanks to the dual diagnosis program offered at Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, patients can undergo treatment for multiple conditions that fall within their perimeters simultaneously. Meridian Behavioral Healthcare was founded in the year 1972. While the facility started relatively small, the company has greatly expanded over the last few decades. Patients are now able to come to Meridian Behavioral Healthcare to undergo different types of treatment programs, ranging from detoxification services and residential treatment programs, toward outpatient treatment services that do not require the patient to stay at the facility while they are being treated for their addictions.

Types Of Treatment Provided

Each patient is treated as an individual at Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, which is why the patient is thoroughly assessed before they are admitted to a program at any of the facilities owned by this company. The majority of treatment options at the facility relies on the 12-step recovery model. Patients may be provided access to the following treatment options, based on the findings during the initial consultation:Residential treatment programs | Outpatient treatment programs | Intensive outpatient treatment programs | Aftercare services | Detox services

Rooms are generally shared among multiple patients. The rooms are equipped with both twin beds and dressers. Patients will need to share common areas. The Sid Martin Bridge House is also equipped with a lecture hall, multiple offices, and a dining hall. Patients are provided three meals per day.

Payment Type Accepted

Patients who are insured should get in touch with the facility to request more details and to see if their insurance provider is accepted. Verification of the patient’s benefits may be required. The facility utilizes a sliding-scale system to bill patients based on their monthly income.

Staff

Since patients often want to know about staff members that are responsible for therapy at a facility like Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, as well as those medical staff members that provide support for patients while they are undergoing detoxification from the substances that they have become dependent on, many facilities tend to share such details on their websites. This usually makes the patient feel more comfortable, especially when they can see that these staff members are all appropriately licensed and skilled to offer them the right kind of services for their condition. Unfortunately, data provided by Meridian Behavioral Healthcare is relatively limited, and there is no information available to help patients gain more knowledge of the staff members. We were unable to find details of the management staff, the directors at the facility, or the team of therapists who are involved in the addiction recovery or behavioral healthcare treatment programs that are offered to those patients who come to this facility to get help. Patients who are in need of treatment and would first like to know more about the staff that will be appointed to their treatment program will need to contact the facility directly. There should be administrative staff members available to help the patient understand whether the therapists and medical team are licensed, as well as qualified to work with patients who are addicts.

Licence(s)

The services offered to the patients who are treated at Meridian Behavioral Healthcare have been reviewed by CARF, an association in the United States that specializes in assuring the quality of addiction recovery services provided by rehabilitation centers throughout the country.

New Beginnings Ministries Restoration Center

3185 Pea Ridge Rd, Brewton, AL, 36426
Overview

New Beginnings Ministries Restoration Center is part of the New Beginnings Group, which also includes a Worship Center and the Sober Living Housing project operated by the company. The entire organization relies on funds collected from contributions and donations and delivers a range of services that primarily focus on long-term recovery for each of the patients who present addiction-related behaviors and symptoms. This particular center has been offering their substance abuse recovery services to patients in the local area for almost an entire decade now and continues to strive toward a sober community.

Types Of Treatment Provided

Treatment at New Beginnings Ministries Restoration Center has a faith-based approach that involves regular gatherings at the nearby Worship Center. Apart from the professional treatment services included in a patient’s treatment program, patients are also advised that they need to pray for a safe and effective recovery during their time in residential treatment. There are no specific details available in terms of how exactly patients are treated, but we were able to determine that a variety of methods can be provided to help improve the chances that the patient will be able to achieve lifelong recovery. Furthermore, we were able to determine that the treatments at the company are based on what is known as the “Minnesota model.” Specific types of treatment options available at New Beginnings Ministries Restoration Center might include:Psycho-education classes | Psychodynamic Processing services | 12-step framework recovery program | Dual diagnosis | Treatment for co-occurring disorders | Medication management

Methods of Addiction Treatment

In addition to providing patients access to educational resources and classes, as well as medication management services, there are several therapists involved in the programs that are assigned to patients at the New Beginnings Ministries Restoration Center. These therapists are able to help patients throughout their recovery and may provide them access to therapy options that include:Individual therapy | Group therapy | Cognitive behavioral therapy

Amenities

The services offered at New Beginnings Ministries Restoration Center are free, and the center depends on fees collected through donations. Thus, patients should not expect any impressive amenities when treated through a residential program at the company. The company is connected to the group’s sober living program, however. Patients who have gone through a residential treatment program may apply to live in one of these sober living houses afterward for aftercare and further support, as well as to ensure they can be reintroduced to the world while still living in a building that makes them feel safe and prevents them from being exposed to substances that could cause them to experience a relapse to addiction.

Payment Type Accepted

The residential treatment programs that patients are offered at New Beginnings Ministries Restoration Center are all free-of-charge. The patient is welcomed even when they are not able to afford recovery services, as the organization believes that everyone deserves a chance to recover from their addictions and start to live a sober life. All of the services provided to patients at the center are dependent on the contributions that are made to the organization. Patients who are in need of treatment at the company may choose to make a donation themselves, should they have the financial resources to do so.

Staff

While New Beginnings Ministries Restoration Center is active on some social media websites, there is no website that can be utilized in order to obtain more specific details about what the center has to offer its patients. This, of course, would include a list of the staff members involved in the company. Even though the services are free of charge, patients will still want to know that they can trust those staff members. Those stuff will be providing them with educational sessions and counseling services, if the patients decide to approach the company to seek help, the staff will ensure they can overcome the addictions that they are currently struggling with. Patients should be able to contact the New Beginnings Ministries Restoration Center if they wish to know more about the staff members who offer their professional services at the facility.

Licence(s)

Many patients want to ensure that they can be treated by professionals who deliver effective treatment solutions before they commit to recovery at a specific facility that offers addiction treatment services. This is why accreditations are important for patients, as these accreditations tell the patient which facilities have been assessed by national bodies to ensure they deliver high-quality and effective services to their patients. Unfortunately, we were not able to determine if New Beginnings Ministries Restoration Center holds any existing accreditations provided to them by national bodies such as the Joint Common or by CARF International.
