Virgin Islands Cocaine Addiction Rehabilitation

Recent surveys have found that almost 14 percent of the patients who seek drug related recovery programs are cocaine addicts. Approximately 1.7 million Americans are currently suffering from a cocaine addiction problem. Addiction impacts both the lives of the users as well as everyone involved. Many cases involving family disputes, divorces, and children abandonment can be linked to a cocaine addiction.

The White House Drug Policy study also found the statistics for cocaine use among teenagers. These are as follows:

  • 3.3% of all high school and college student admittedly use cocaine currently.
  • 8% of high school students maintained they tried cocaine when in high school.
  • 19% of eight graders, 28% of tenth graders. And 38% of teens admitted that cocaine is easy to get.

According to a survey conducted by the White House in 2008 called the National Survey on Drug Use and Health came up with the following findings:

  • More than 35 million Americans over 12 years of age have admitted using cocaine at least one.
  • In last year’s study, almost 5.3 million and 1.9 million Americans admitted using cocaine in the last year and the last month respectively.
  • Around 722,000 people over 12 years of age tried cocaine for the first time in the last one year. This accounts for almost 2000 new users every day. This number is lower than the figure reported for 2007. Overall, there has been a gradual decline in cocaine use.

Cocaine rehabilitation centers are found throughout the country that enable a user to break out of the vicious cycle of addiction. This allows them to rejoin their families and the community to lead a productive and fulfilling life.

Once the sober living program is completed successfully, the patients are able to join their families and return to their former lives with skill sets that can ward off the chances of relapse. However, the recovery doesn’t end once rehab stay is complete. Recovery is a lifelong process that has its own sets of ups and downs. Patients learn how to cope with life and its daily demands and rely on support systems of the family and the community instead of returning to using cocaine.

2400 NE 95th St, Seattle, WA, 98115
Overview

Ryther is a comprehensive treatment unit that specializes in a large number of conditions that youth often experience. The company focuses largely on addiction treatment services, with a special aim to help the youth overcome such problems early on and avoid a substance abuse disorder from ruining the life of an adolescent patient. Apart from the addiction treatment programs that a patient may be provided when they go to one of the Ryther centers for help, there are other services also provided by this company that can serve both children and adolescents, such as mental health counseling solutions. Parents of these children and teenagers are also welcomed to join in on various therapeutic programs to help the patient through their journey. The company currently operates a total of three centers, all located within the Washington state. They were initially founded almost 150 years ago and had since helped a countless number of individuals address their mental health concerns, addictions, and behavioral problems.

The sober living project generally has two phases that patients will go through: Phase one consists of a more restricted living environment where the patient needs to check in at certain times of the day. Patients are also only allowed to leave the property when they need to go for therapy or when they need to go to their job. Patients are also able to leave the property if they are going to search for a job. Phase two offers the patient more freedom, but patients do need a job before they can transit to this phase.

Powell Recovery Center is one of the oldest and most experienced treatment facilities dedicated to patients who are struggling with substance abuse and mental health problems. The treatment center has been around for more than three decades, and during this time it has been a center for alcohol and drug treatment in the entire Baltimore area. What makes this recovery center stand out is the “Treatment on Demand” service meaning all patients get to start their treatment within 24 to 72 hours after submitting the admission by contacting Powell staff. Addiction is a serious problem and persons who want to get help should not be made to wait for weeks or even months to start their treatment at the desired facility. The same shouldn’t happen to families who just want their loved ones to get much-needed help. At Powell Recovery Center patients get admitted fast, and they start their inpatient or outpatient treatment.

Types Of Treatment Provided

As mentioned above, Powell Recovery Center offers immediate treatment and shelter to patients n need. They’re well aware of the fact that a single day can make a huge difference between living and dying. During a crisis, people reach for help wherever they can find it which is why it’s crucial to make sure they get much-needed help and assistance rather than make them wait. Due to the fact, Powell Recovery Center has multiple facilities they can take on new patients on an as-needed basis. Powell provides both residential and outpatient services. That way, their patients get the most suitable treatment based on their needs, the severity of addiction, and other factors. Methods of Addiction Treatment

Like in many other facilities, treatment programs at Powell provide various therapies that aim to improve patients’ mental health and wellbeing. Patients at Powell Recovery Center participate in individual and group therapy sessions where they work with therapists on self-discovery and path toward a healthier way of life and substance-free lifestyle. For example, intensive outpatient treatment involves three hours of group therapy three evenings a week while individual therapy is held as needed. Patients who are included in the partial hospitalization program have more intensive therapy schedule they attend meetings five days a week from 8 am to 5 pm. All therapy sessions are gender-specific, i.e. they’re all male or all female. A maximum of 20 patients attends therapy sessions at Powell Recovery Center. It’s important to mention that all therapy approaches used by Powell Recovery Center’s staff are evidence-based. Therapists use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) when treating patients. Benefits of this therapy have been supported by many studies. Outpatient treatments include therapies held once a week. The purpose of therapies in the outpatient setting is to make sure patients continue their recovery even when residential treatment is over, but also to promote addiction treatment among patients whose substance abuse isn’t that severe.
