Puerto Rico Codeine Addiction

codeine addiction rehab treatment #in-citycounty-state#

Codeine is like morphine in its chemical structure, but because it has only a fraction of morphine’s potency, it is considered a weaker version of an opioid painkiller. It can be used in treating mild to moderately sever pain and can also be procured without a prescription in some countries. To increase its effectiveness, codeine is sometimes mixed with aspirin or acetaminophen. A few cough suppressants also contain codeine.

In order to combat the psychological reasons for addiction, patients regularly see their counselors and medical professionals in addition to attending group therapy sessions. Outpatient programs are less expensive than their inpatient counterparts. It also allows the patients to focus on their family lives and daily jobs while they get treated for their addiction.

Withdrawal – A clear cut sign of addiction and dependence on a drug is withdrawal. If you are unable to get codeine and you experience withdrawal symptoms, it means you are addicted to codeine.

Other signs of codeine addiction are as follows:

  • Loss of appetite
  • Weight loss
  • Nausea and Vomiting
  • Loss of interests in activities that were enjoyed previously
  • Cold sweat
  • Clammy hands and feet
  • Problems in physical coordination
  • Mood Swings
  • Confusion and cloudy thinking
  • Changes in sleeping patterns

It is crucial to know the signs and symptoms of codeine addiction in order for you to get the best treatment for the codeine user.

It can be difficult to detect a codeine addiction. Most people who start using codeine under medical supervision are unaware that their body is developing a substance dependence. It is prescribed as a painkiller mainly because its side effects are not as severe as other opioid painkillers.

Cathy’s House

515 West Liberty Street, Medina, OH, 44256
Overview

Cathy’s House is a sober living home founded in 1998 by husband and wife Randy and Chris Jarrell. This is not a treatment facility, but a ¾ house run by non-professionals. Cathy’s House doesn’t provide treatment services that are offered by some recovery centers for alcohol and drug addiction. The main purpose of this house is to help recovered drug addicts and alcoholics improve their recovery and get on the path to sobriety. For many persons with substance abuse problems a treatment in inpatient or outpatient setting isn’t enough, they need strong support once their program is over. That’s exactly what Cathy’s House offers to men and women who become their clients.

Types Of Treatment Provided

Due to the fact that Cathy’s House is not a treatment facility it doesn’t provide some addiction treatment services that are found elsewhere. This is a sober living facility where clients are still able to receive support and guidance to a healthier way of life. The admission policy dictates that clients must be at least three days sober before they enter Cathy’s House. They also need approval from the director. The second admission requires three days sobriety, 30 days from the date of the previous departure, and director approval. Clients need to meet different criteria for successful admission. For example, they must not be classified as a sexual or violent offender, must be willing to sign a release for a criminal background check, must actively participate in the AA program, must be at least 18 years old. Within three days of admittance, clients need to find a sponsor and attend 12-step meetings onsite. Basically, the purpose of all this is to show that you are actively working on your recovery. Clients have to wake up and complete some chores by 8 am. Abusive behavior is not tolerated just like any kind of sexual activity. Each resident is responsible for cleaning up after themselves, and they also need to keep their bedrooms clean. Of course, employed residents are allowed to go to work. On the other hand, if you’re unemployed, it is your responsibility to look for a job every day.

Methods of Addiction Treatment

Men and women who stay at Cathy’s House have probably completed an inpatient or outpatient addiction treatment program elsewhere. That program featured various therapies. In Cathy’s House residents are required to attend AA/NA meetings regularly, but there are no individual or group therapy sessions. Again, as you can already imagine this is due to the fact Cathy’s House is not a treatment center.

Amenities

The primary advantage of Cathy’s House is a simple regimen that doesn’t put a lot of stress on men and women who live there. Residents are allowed to go to work, cook, clean, do chores they would normally do in their own homes. Regular meetings allow residents to stay on a good path toward sobriety. What makes this place practical is that it provides a strong and secure foundation for a healthy life.

Payment Type Accepted

This sober living facility doesn’t turn people away solely for the inability to pay. Men and women of lower socioeconomic status can still benefit from staying at Cathy’s House as they’ll work out different solutions to allow you to get support for your recovery and find the best solution to pay for the time spent there. Methods of payment accepted by Cathy’s House include private pay, grant funded/rent subsidy. Of course, to get more information about payment options especially if you’re on a tight budget, all you need to do is to contact Cathy’s House, and they’ll explain everything you need to know.

Staff

Bearing in mind that Cathy’s House is not a typical treatment center, it’s more of a place where people get extra support for their recovery; there are no staff members in a manner like they are elsewhere. Names and biographies of people who help run Cathy’s House aren’t revealed. That being said, it’s still clear that Cathy’s House is a supportive, warm, and calm place where residents get much-needed support. All those benefits are a result of hard work of founders and their team to develop a place where men and women who are battling addiction problems will be able to support their road to sobriety in a healthy manner.

Hendrick House

1632 E. Hedrick Drive, Tucson, AZ, 85719
Overview

Hedrick House was founded in 1977 as a sober living environment that gives men an addiction an opportunity to recover and live in a building that was established to promote sobriety and healing. The facility has since expanded and now has a number of outpatient services to offer patients, which they can take advantage of during their stay and even afterward, as they continue to live a sober life after they have graduated from the sober living program offered by Hedrick House. Hedrick House does not seem to have an official website that represents the facility or their staff members or to provide any specific details about the treatment services they offer to the patients who might be interested in making use of the sober living environment they have to offer. The company does, however, have profiles on two of the major social media platforms, including Facebook and Google+. They seem to be very active on both of these profiles, frequently updating their profiles with the latest information related to their services, and providing inspirational messages to people who are going through addictions.

Types Of Treatment Provided

No extensive data regarding the treatment options available at Hedrick House is available since the company has not provided a full list of the services they are able to offer patients on an official website. The social media pages primarily provide inspirational quotes, instead of details regarding addiction treatment services. We did note that Hedrick House mainly specializes in providing patients access to a sober living program. The program is only available to male patients and will give the man access to an environment where they can live while they recover from their addiction. The facility where the patients reside will provide additional services that will further aid in the patient’s recovery but will not provide any special amenities since the primary aim here is to ensure the man can recover in an environment that was designed to promote a sober lifestyle.

Methods of Addiction Treatment

When a patient becomes part of the sober living program at the Hedrick House, it also means they will be provided the benefits of the outpatient services that the facility has developed to address addictions among the male patients who reside at their center. Patients will be given multiple therapy sessions each week. These therapy sessions will include individual sessions and group therapy sessions.

Amenities

The Hedrick House provide patients with an environment where they will feel safe and cared for, and where they will not be exposed to the substances that have caused them difficulty in life in the first place. The list of amenities at this facility does not seem too extensive, but monthly rental fees are very affordable, and the purpose of the center is to help men recover from their substance abuse disorders, not keep them entertained throughout the process.

Payment Type Accepted

No extensive data have been provided in terms of the payment options that are available to patients at Hedrick House. Patients will need to pay a monthly rental fee of $600. This seems to include housing, food, and additional services, such as therapy.

Staff

Since Hedrick House does not have an official website, it is rather difficult to determine who the staff members are at the facility, or how the facility operates. While we did find that there are staff members allocated to stations at the facility in order to ensure patients are always monitored during their stay in the sober living environment, and therapists are available to provide services as part of the outpatient treatment programs, we could not find any specific details on who these staff members are or the qualifications they hold. Patients should get in touch with the company by phone or through their social media pages if they would like to know more about the staff members at the sober living house.

Licence(s)

We were unable to obtain details in regards to any possible licenses that state authorities have provided Hedrick House with. There are also no details in terms of accreditations that the facility has been rewarded in the past. Since no website is available, it makes it more difficult to obtain such information. If a patient would like to more details in regards to the licenses and authority of the center before they become part of the sober living program, the patient should get in touch with the directors at Hedrick House.
