Townhall 2

155 N Water St, Kent, OH, 44240
Overview

Townhall 2, located in Kent, Ohio, is a behavioral health organization that began as a crisis line for individuals in distress at KSU (Kent State University) by two hippie-era initiatives. A couple of years later, a drop-in center was created by a group of volunteers for individuals in crisis to visit and feel safe. After some time, the first and second group decided to merge and become “Townhall 2” in 1971. Since then, the behavioral health organization has added multiple services in addition to its pioneer programs. Some of these services include HIV testing and counseling, treatment services for crime victims, and medical diagnosis. The organization later joined the Portage County’s drug treatment center in 1997 with the aim of expanding its services.
