Situated in the beautiful city of Pensacola in Florida, Cordova Counseling Center is a treatment facility that offers outpatient services to adults, children, couples, and families looking to overcome substance use and co-occurring mental disorders. As it is solely an outpatient treatment center, its treatments core is embedded in individual therapy and as such, group therapy is not offered to clients. All client treatment begins with an assessment which is conducted by a psychologist. This clinical evaluation consists of assessments for domestic violence, brain injuries and dementia, behavioral addiction, and anger management. Clients with substance abuse issues will be assessed for alcohol and drugs. Some therapies implemented by therapists include traditional talk therapy, psychotherapy (incorporating evidence-based treatment methods), psychoeducation, and more. The facility mostly focuses on treating clients with panic attacks, grief and loss, stress management, depression and anxiety, phobias, addiction recovery, relationship problems, weight management, parenting, sexual addiction, family issues, and more.
