Overview

Shades Of Hope is a complete addiction treatment facility that focuses on helping patients overcome any addiction. Tennie McCarty founded the facility after she went through an eating disorder herself. After Tennie discovered how a generalized approach toward treating addictions could work for an eating disorder, like she had suffered from at the time, she decided to start Shades Of Hope with the goal of helping others with an eating disorder overcome the problem, just like she was able to. During the years, Tennie started to implement strategies to help treat other addiction disorders as well. Today, Shades Of Hope is known to provide top-quality care services to patients regardless of the addiction they may be suffering from. The facility believes in providing the patient with effective services that starts with thorough detoxification. They utilize a proven 12-step program and believes that healing consists of spiritual growth, improvements in emotional health, and more – not just “quick fix” methods that would bring about acute results.

Types Of Treatment Provided

Shades Of Hope has developed multiple treatment programs that patients can take advantage of if they are currently experiencing an addiction. Even though the facility tends to focus a lot on eating disorders, patients are presenting other types of addictions, such as drug abuse or alcohol abuse, are also welcomed to undergo treatment at the facility. There are two different types of residential treatment options that a patient may be admitted to:Six-Day Intensive Recovery Program | Intensive Residential Treatment ProgramAll patients will go through an evidence-based 12-step recovery program, and gain access to a wide range of additional services to help them on their journey to sobriety and recovery.

Methods of Addiction Treatment

The therapists, counselors, and psychiatrists employed at Shades Of Hope are able to provide patients with therapy sessions that will ultimately help them uncover the root causes of their addictions and help them work through particular issues in their lives that may be contributing to their disorder. The facility owned by Shades Of Hope features a modern interior décor and aims to make each patient who is being treated feel “at home.” There are numerous amenities that patients can make use of, including closet space in each bedroom, along with a convenient dining room and a classroom, where the patient gains access to a variety of sessions during their stay at the facility. Patients will be served a total of three meals on a daily basis. All of these meals are prepared in the healthiest possible way, with no red meat, white flour, or sugar allowed in the meals. During weekends, off-campus trips are provided to patients to give them an opportunity to socialize, have some fun, and experience life without their addictions getting in the way.

Payment Type Accepted

Patients have two options in terms of paying for the services rendered to them at Shades Of Hope. If the patient is insured, they can verify their benefits with the facility to determine if their health insurance plan would pay for their treatment. If the patient’s insurance policy will not cover the costs or the patient does not have an insurance policy, they are able to either pay for their treatment upfront or make special financial arrangements with the staff in order to pay for their treatment in monthly installments.

Staff

Even though Shades Of Hope does provide a comprehensive overview of the treatment programs they have to offer and features a page dedicated to describing how the founder of the facility came to start this addiction treatment center more than two decades ago, the official website that represents Shades Of Hope does not offer a detailed overview of the staff members that patients can expect to meet if they wish to undergo treatment at the facility. For many patients, understanding the skills and appropriateness of the staff members at this type of facility is important before they decide to undergo treatment. We do, however, understand that staff members are qualified in their fields and also hold several years of experience in nursing, psychiatry, and other specialty services that will aid patients in recovery.

Licence(s)

The official Shades Of Hope website does not list any type of accreditations that have been awarded to the facility. We were unable to determine if organizations such as CARF and the Joint Commission has reviewed the services provided at the facility and approved the quality of care offered to patients. Any patient who might want to know if the facility is licensed or accredited should get in touch with them, as there are admission staff members who will be able to provide appropriate details and answer any additional questions that the individual might have.

The Ranch Mississippi Treatment Center

3949 Highway 43 N, Brandon, MS, 39047
Overview

The Ranch Mississippi was established in 1979 and provides a large number of treatment services to customers who experience the dreaded effects that addictions can impose on their lives. The goal of recovery at The Ranch Mississippi is not just to get the patient to walk out of a program offered at the facility without having used drugs or alcohol during the time in treatment – but rather to ensure the patient can achieve long-term recovery and to ensure relapse into a world of alcohol and drugs can be effectively prevented. While the facility does take advantage of the 12-step recovery clinical setting that is known to be relatively effective in the treatment of addictions, they take further actions by introducing patients to nature and giving them the ability to develop their own skills in a safe, secure, and sober setting.

Types Of Treatment Provided

The addiction treatment services offered to patients at The Ranch Mississippi primarily relies on the principles of the 12-step recovery program that is widely known around the world, but the company does have other solutions and programs in place that can further assist their patients during the journey toward their sobriety. The Ranch Mississippi has different treatment options that can be tailored to meet the needs of a specific patient who is presenting signs of addictions, along with those who are experiencing additional mental health problems. It does, however, seem like this facility primarily focuses on dealing with professionals who are struggling to overcome their addictions. Treatment options at The Ranch Mississippi include:Medical detox | Residential inpatient services | Outpatient treatment programs | Partial hospitalization program | Aftercare services

Methods of Addiction Treatment

Patients undergoing any of the treatment programs that are being offered at The Ranch Mississippi will gain access to a therapist dedicated to helping them helping them throughout their recovery. The 12-step program will also introduce the patient to various group therapy programs for further support.

Amenities

There are no specific details available in terms of the amenities that patients will be provided access to when they decide to come to The Ranch Mississippi to assist in the treatment of mental health disorders and substance abuse issues. Patients will need to visit the facility directly if they wish to find out more about specific types of amenities that they will gain access to should they decide to stay at the facility. The patient will most likely be provided with three meals a day, along with access to dressers to ensure the patient has adequate storage space for their clothes during their stay at the facility.

Payment Type Accepted

No details are provided in regards to how much patients should expect to pay if they come to The Ranch Mississippi for treatment. We did note that the facility seems to prefer the utilization of an insurance policy for the treatment of the patient’s addictions and their co-occurring mental disorders. The facility has been contracted with a relatively large number of medical insurance providers, including:MWN | MultiPlan | First Health | UnitedHealthcare | Humana | Magellan | HealthSmart | AetnaIt does not, however, seem like the facility is able to accept federally-funded insurance programs like Medicaid and Medicare. Patients who will require self-pay as a way of paying for the services that will be provided to them need to discuss their options with the admissions and administrative staff at The Ranch Mississippi. We are not sure if any financial assistance programs might be available, but the patient will most likely be asked to either pay an upfront amount or consider the financial services from a third-party lender that specializes in the healthcare industry.

Staff

The Ranch Mississippi has a dedicated team of staff members that are always ready to provide the patients who are being treated at the facility with quality care services that will promote recovery and healing. New Beginnings Ministry

1258 Greater Hope Road, Martin, GA, 30557
Overview

Women who desire a new way in life, find a home at the New Beginnings Ministry Rehabilitation center which runs on the Christian values. Its director Sharon Thompson founded the center. Ms. Thompson, once an addict herself, had the desire to help struggling women free themselves from addiction and live, after that, a drug-free life without relapse. In line with this vision, the center offers a one-year minimum commitment program for women struggling with destructive behaviors including substance abuse, sexual addiction, low-esteem, and self-loathing. It does this in a serene environment that facilitates the recovery and enables the women to learn about Christ and plan for their future. In addition, it provides life skills classes where residents are trained in cooking, cleaning, and financial management, with a focus on managing a budget. They also have motivational and bible classes that help trigger self-identification and give purpose to life.

Types Of Treatment Provided

The treatment option is individual-centered, but it is integrated into a 12-month program which includes making peace with themselves, learning the power of addition, understanding the withdrawals symptoms, studying co-dependency, parenting, and many others. The women also go through a family Recovery Group class where a reconciliation process between the woman and their loved ones is initiated. This family relationship is vital in the recovery process.

Methods of Addiction Treatment

At New Beginnings Ministry, most work is based on biblical teachings of Christ. The women go through a once-a-week program dubbed “sociogram,” which gives them an opportunity to learn to be accountable and openly speak accountability to each other. Under the program, every woman is independently observed and performance recorded. There is also anger management therapy as well as relapse prevention therapy.

Amenities

The institution has a chapel and dormitory-style buildings. There’s a special building called SMILE dorm (dorm 3) for women with children. All the dorms are staffed 24/7, and are equipped with two bunk beds or sometimes twin beds, dressers, and a lamp. In addition, there are family living rooms furnished with couches and large TV sets. The cafeteria provides 3 meals per day, and it is in the same place that the facility’s cooking life skills take place.

Payment Type Accepted

New Beginnings Ministry is in no network with any insurance provider, and, thus, don’t accept insurance. The fee can be paid by debit or credit card, or direct deposits to the organization’s bank account.

Staff

Substance abuse victims require maximum attention. New Beginnings staff are available in the facility all around the clock. While the institution incorporates the women under the program in the cooking and some kitchen cleanup exercise as part the life skills training, it is adequately staffed in every department. One thing that stands out about the New Beginning staff is that a number of them were once patients of the facility. If not, they have previously struggled with a substance abuse problem. Therefore, the staff knows first-hand the kind of help a broken and downtrodden the women brought to the facility need. Some of the staff members include:Sharon Thompson, CAC-II, CCS DirectorSharon struggled with drugs and alcohol addiction for almost two decades. She, however, overcame the problem, became sober and clean for over 30 years now with no signs of relapse. Other than founding the New Beginnings Ministry, both church and rehab, she is a certified clinical supervisor for the Georgia Addiction Counsellors Association. She studied Counseling psychology at Almeda University.Melissa Van Hall, CAC-I Admin DirectorMelissa joined New Beginning as a patient. She had struggled with drug addiction since when she was 12. She underwent the program, became clean and joined as a member of staff and has been working at the facility, for now, five years. She became a Certified Addictions Counselor with the state of Georgia.Lisa Gillespie, CCS DirectorShe has a degree in nursing from Brenau University and a specialty degree from Emory University. She previously worked as a nurse, but she now works at New Beginnings as an assistant director. She too had struggled with substance abuse. She suffered a nervous breakdown and resorted to drinking, had drugs and even developed a bit of stealing. She has been cleaned and remains sober with no signs of relapse.

Licence(s)

The New Beginnings Ministry offers a Licensed Drug Abuse Treatment Education Program consistent with American Society Addiction ASAM Level 3.1 level. It is also accredited by Transitional Housing for Offender Reentry (THOR) as a women’s rehab. In Mr. Ms. Thompson’s ministerial work in jails, she learned that convicted addicts had a hard time to recover and reintegrate to the society once they had served their sentence. The accreditations enable her to help former convicts as they transition to integrate back into the society.
