American Samoa Valium Addiction

Some prescription drugs have the potential to be addictive, and the worst is that, as it is part of medical treatment, you might not be aware of your addiction. But as happens in all prescription drug abuse problems, there will be some clear signs that will allow you to discover it. The most common is when you find yourself taking more Valium than needed, especially if you are doing this without the doctor's approval.

Fighting anxiety is one of the most difficult things to do, you will feel that, instead of getting better, you are getting worse. This is a normal consequence of all drug rehab process. That is why therapy sessions and meditation activities are recommended to ease these feelings.

As the Valium sedative effects wear off, your body will start to ask for more and you will suffer from sudden changes in mood and violent behavior. At this stage, the individual is a threat to both the user and his/her surroundings.

During detox, the patient will undergo both physical and psychological symptoms. For example, as your body is used to high dosages of drugs, you feel dizziness and nausea as your body naturally flush the drug out.

To be able to win the fight, you must completely understand the background of your addiction. This way you will learn how to avoid relapses to stay sober.

Valium has been in the market since 1963, and it has been used in treatment for anxiety and stress. But as it is a highly addictive drug, it must be prescribed by a doctor for short-term treatment only. Nevertheless, even in this scenario, the patient can develop an addiction to Valium. If you start to feel the sudden urge to increase your normal dosage, you should initially contact your doctor to re-plan your treatment.

The first thing you must do is to find a rehab center that allows you to cope with your problem without using more Valium. There you will learn all the necessary skills to face all the symptoms during all the stages of the program.
