Overview

The Sobriety House is a rehabilitation center which offers treatment to both men and women. Founded in 1967 by Reverend Ernest Baber, it is located in Denver, Colorado. This center has the longest working residential program in Colorado. Treatments are evidence-based in this rehab center including cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, and 12-step facilitation. The center has 3 phases in which patients graduate and move from one to the next. New intakes start from the intensive residential treatment then transition into the residential treatment and finally the independent living phase. Residents are awarded a few benefits as they progress through the treatments. The least number of days a patient can spend in any of the programs is 10 days. During intake, residents are checked to make sure they do not bring in any illegal contraband items that are prohibited by the center e.g. empty pill bottles, firearms, candles, aftershave, vitamins, jewelry, etc. Residents are expected to comply with the rules of the facility during the period of their stay. This center has served their community for over 50 years and takes pride in maintaining the privacy of the clients that walk through its doors.

The Sobriety house is a non-profit organization that provides drug and alcohol treatment, located in Denver, Colorado. This center works based on an over-the-phone pre-admission technique where the intake coordinator speaks to a client on the phone about the problem the adult may have and answers any questions about the facility. Visitors into the facility are allowed on weekends and may be refused by the staff if they are seen as detrimental to a patient. Client confidentiality is key in this facility hence no cameras are permitted in the facility whatsoever. Treatment is affordable in this center coupled with the great care provided to the patients.

Dolan, LCSW, CAC III Executive DirectorBill has been working with addictions since 1981, which was around the same time he joined Sobriety House, he has risen up the ranks and now serves as the executive director. He obtained his degree from the university of Denver. Bill specializes in the 12-step therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, giving attention to all patients and veterans in particular.Crystal Colussi, LCSW, LAC Counselor/Social Worker/Deputy DirectorCrystal started her work in business before deciding she wanted a change and began social work after which she got her MSW(Clinical families track) in the university of Denver back in 2011. She joined Sobriety House in 2012 as a counselor and is now a deputy director. She specializes in existential therapy and other evidence-based treatments, her passion to help addicts and others in need make her a great member of the team.Jacob Frye Counselor, CAC IIJacob joined the Sobriety House team in 2009 and is a program alumnus, he treats patients interested in the 12 step treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, music therapy(which he started) and solution focused brief therapy. As an alumnus and a Colorado native, Jacob brings a unique energy to the team and helps his patients to the best of his ability.
