Odyssey House

344 E 100 South, Salt Lake City, UT, 84111
Overview

Odyssey House is a recovery facility that treats adolescents and adults who are addicted to drugs and alcohol or experience mental health problems. The treatment center was founded in 1971 as a nonprofit organization that soon became the leading and most respected substance use provider in Utah. Odyssey House operates the largest continuum of care for patients to access at any level of need. At the very beginning Odyssey House was just a residential treatment for men, but due to the growing need for addiction recovery facilities with effective programs they expanded their services to women and adolescents. Services provided by this recovery center address each aspect of the individual in order to produce whole person change. Both residential and outpatient services are available at Odyssey House.

Types Of Treatment Provided

Odyssey House provides both inpatient and outpatient services for adults and teenagers who need help with drug and alcohol addiction. Adult residential services, lasting minimum 30 days, combine different services to address substance abuse, mental health, negative beliefs and behaviors, poor job skills, and other problems. Before joining the treatment, patients are evaluated and interviewed to determine groups and therapies from which they will benefit the most. While 30 days is the shortest treatment period, the length of stay is usually six to nine months. Treatment is highly individualized using TC (Therapeutic Community) model with a dual diagnosis option. Patients attend one individual group session a week and two group sessions a day. Adolescent residential treatment features all of the above, but teenagers also get to attend an academy where they can continue their high school education while in recovery. Teens work with specialized teachers, and each classroom has up to 12 students. Mother with children residential program provides various services including recreation, bring kids to treatment, parenting skills development, education, healthy relationship development, and more. As far as outpatient services are concerned they include:Intensive outpatient program (9-16 hours) | General outpatient program (2-5 hours) | Therapy | Family support group | DUI classes | Drug and alcohol assessments

Methods of Addiction Treatment

The core strength of treatment services provided by Odyssey House is a wide spectrum of therapies. Evidence-based therapies help patients successfully recover for a substance-free life. Therapies provided by this treatment facility include:Cognitive behavioral therapy | Dialectical behavior therapy | Moral Reconation Therapy | Motivational interviewing | Rational emotive behavioral therapy | Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing | Relapse prevention therapy

Amenities

A number of amenities are available to clients at Odyssey House during their treatment. For example:Education | Financial literacy | Employment preparation | Medical and dental care | Life skills | Leadership | Recreation

Payment Type Accepted

Costs of substance abuse treatment at Odyssey House vary depending on the level of care needed, access to health insurance, a client’s location, and whether children are involved. That being said, the treatment center makes sure all interested clients have access to their services. They have worked hard to directly contract with commercial insurance companies in order to provide the best rates to patients. The Admissions Team helps potential clients find out whether the costs of the treatment are covered by insurance. In-network plans involve insurance providers such as BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, Select Health, Health Plans University of Utah, Cigna, Medicare, Molina Healthcare, MultiPlan, MHN, BHN, and others. For clients who don’t have insurance, cash payments may be a better option. In addition, the treatment center maintains multiple government contracts to help people pay for much-needed care.

Life Management Resources

2301 Ohio Dr, Ste 150, Plano, TX, 75093
Overview

Life Management Resources is an affordable addiction recovery center that specializes in providing patients with outpatient services, along with a range of online treatment solutions that patients can utilize when they are not located in the same area as the facility where the company offers their services. One thing that makes Life Management Resources especially convenient is the fact that they specialize in providing both adult and adolescent patients access to the recovery treatment services they require in order to assure their success in recovering from addictions. The company is fully licensed and accredited and has professional staff members who are able to provide patients access to the most appropriate services to help them throughout their recovery.

Types Of Treatment Provided

Treatment options at Life Management Resources tend to defer from patient-to-patient, as a counselor is involved in consulting with every patient to develop an outpatient or intensive outpatient treatment program that is suited to the specific patient’s addictions and condition. After the patient has gone through an initial interview with one of the staff members involved in the admissions process, a customized plan will be developed for them. This allows the counselor to develop a treatment program that is tailored to the patient’s needs. Treatment options that are currently available at Life management Resources include:Outpatient treatment programs for adolescent patients | Intensive outpatient programs for adult patients | After Care services

Methods of Addiction Treatment

All programs that are offered by Life Management Resources heavily rely on the therapeutic solutions that the company has established, offered by licensed counselors who are experienced in treating patients with addictions. One-on-one sessions make up the majority of the therapeutic services that patients are offered at the company, but there are also family therapy sessions and group counseling programs that patients can participate in.

Amenities

There are no special amenities offered to patients who come to Life Management Resources for the treatment of their addictions, since the facility does not specialize in residential treatment services, but rather provide patients access to outpatient programs. There are, however, a couple of amenities and added services that patients who are undergoing outpatient treatment will be provided access to – this includes aftercare services, as well as family therapy sessions. The facility is also able to offer patients access to DWI educational programs, as well as offer legal aid to patients who are released from a Drug Court.

Payment Type Accepted

At Life Management Resources, each patient is analyzed individually – not only to determine how they should be treated for their addictions but also to help the organization understand how much the patient would be able to afford for the recovery services they need to overcome their addictions. For this reason, all patients are provided a bill based on a sliding-scale fee structure. Once the patient’s income has been presented to the financial counselor at Life Management Resources, a repayment plan will be configured for the patient to suit their specific circumstances. We were unable to determine if the facility is able to accept any type of insurance plan, but patients are free to contact the administrative staff to help them find out if their active insurance policy would be accepted.

Staff

Life Management Resources care about every patient who comes to them with the need to recover from an addiction, which is why their website was developed to make the patient feel more comfortable and confident in getting in touch with the appropriate staff at the facility to start their treatment. With this in mind, the company has decided to provide patients access to some data related to the staff members who are involved at the facility. We did find, however, that the company does not provide a comprehensive overview of their management or treatment staff members. Only a small number of faces are shown, along with names and some of the titles that these particular staff members held at the company. Patients who would like to know about the staff members who are involved in the treatments that Life Management Resources are able to offer their patients should contact the facility and inquire about such details from the administrative staff employed at their head office.Dr. Fred J. Hansen (Ph.D., BCP, LPC) – CEO | Kim H. (B.S.) – Administrative and Compliance Director | Crystal D. – Billing Specialist | Marieta J. Hansen (BA) – Community Relations | Sabina S. (MA, LCDC) – Evaluations

Licence(s)

Life Management Resources is fully licensed and have been accredited by appropriate bodies within the United States. The facility has been awarded a National Accreditation, issued by the Joint Hospital Accreditation Commission, after their rehabilitation center and the treatment services they offered were reviewed and analyzed by a professional at the TJC. Additionally, the Texas Department of State Health Services has also granted the facility several licenses for the services they provide their patients with.

The Center For Alcohol & Drug Services

12160 Utah Ave, Davenport, IA, 52804
Overview

The Center for Alcohol & Drug Services is a non-profit organization that specializes in the treatment of addictions among both adult patients and adolescent patients. The company also provide professional services that can assist in the prevention of addictions, as well as providing patients with assessments in order to help them understand their own conditions better. Over the years, the company has relied on donations from a number of sources to expand – and they now own and operate facilities in multiple locations, including the state of Illinois and in Iowa.

Types Of Treatment Provided

A large number of treatment options are offered to patients who come to the Center for Alcohol & Drug Services. The specific treatment programs and options that will be provided to a particular patient depends on how old they are, whether or not they are already suffering from an addiction, and if so, how severe this condition is. The treatment options available at the Center for Alcohol & Drug Services are essentially divided into the following categories:Prevention | Assessment | Treatment

Methods of Addiction Treatment

At the Center for Alcohol & Drug Services, all patients are provided access to both individual counseling sessions with a therapist who will be appointed to them, as well as multiple group therapy sessions. Counseling and therapeutic options play essential roles in all of the treatment programs that this organization offers its patients.

Amenities

No exceptional amenities are offered to patients who need to reside at one of the facilities where inpatient treatment programs are offered. Patients should take into account that the facility utilized a sliding scale to charge the patient a minimal fee for treatment, while the rest of their income comes from donations by third-party companies and individuals. For this reason, the facility rather focuses on offering patients in residential care the services they need to successfully overcome their addictions, instead of focusing too much on making the patient’s experience at the center more luxurious. Rooms in the facilities are relatively spacious, however. There is also a basic gym facility located at the inpatient division of the Center for Alcohol & Drug Services in Country Oaks.

Payment Type Accepted

The specific amount that a patient is billed for undergoing any of the treatment programs offered at the Center for Alcohol & Drug Services depends on a number of factors. The factors that help the facility determine an appropriate amount to charge the patient include the patient’s condition, how severe their addictions are, and what specific program they require. It should be noted that a sliding-scale system is used, which means the patient’s unique circumstances and the current financial situation is taken into account.

Staff

Even though it does seem like the Center for Alcohol & Drug Services share a lot of useful information on their website to ensure patients in need of their services are able to obtain the data they require to feel more confident and comfortable in the process of contacting the facility for help, we did notice that no relevant information about the facility’s staff members have been shared. Since some patients want to know about the qualifications held by staff members who specialize in the treatment of addictions at a facility like the Center for Alcohol & Drug Services, we recommend these patients get in touch with the facility before deciding if this particular company is right for them. The administrative staff at the organization should be able to help the interested patient obtain details about the psychiatrists, nurses, and the medical staff members who provide services to patients at the facility.

Licence(s)

No information is shared by the Center for Alcohol & Drug Services in regards t any accreditations that national bodies have awarded the center in the past. The company does, however, note that they have been licensed by appropriate departments in both states that they offer their services in for the specific treatment services and programs they have developed for patients who come to them for assistance in overcoming their addictions. In Illinois, the organization has been licensed by the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse at the Department of Human Services. In Iowa, the organization has been licensed by the Department of Public Health.
